Timothy Poulos, PGA Class A Golf Professional.A PGA Golf Professional since 2004, Tim has extensive experience in all aspects of the golf business. He comes to Cypress Lakes Golf Club from BlackHorse golf club in Cypress, Texas where he was an assistant golf professional. Prior to BlackHorse, Tim worked in Williamsburg, Virginia at Kingsmill Resort, and Two Rivers Country Club. Tim offers lessons packages as well as hourly rates to golfers of all levels. He has vast experience in mens and women's clinics, and has worked with some of the finest teachers in the golf industry today which include Jim Hardy, and Bob Toski. |

Willy Plowman, Golf Course SuperintendentWilly Plowman was born in Galveston, Texas. He began his golf career at the age of 12 at The Chapparral Club in Dickinson, Texas. He moved to Ft. Lauderdale, FL and worked at Rolloing Hills Golf Resorts. In fact, he was the superintendent there when they filmed Caddie Shack II. Willy returned to Willow Fork Country Club in Katy, Texas in 1990 and remained there for seven years. In 1997, he came to Cypress Lakes Golf Club and oversaw the grow-in with 419 Bermudagrass throughout the course and Champions Ultradwarf Bermudagrass greens. His involvement as a Superintendent goes well beyond the golf course maintenance level. He is continuously hosting seminars for other superintendents and college students sharing his knowledge and cultural practices. In 2003, he hosted a seminar for all the Champions growers in the Southeast and Southern Texas that discussed every aspect of managing Champions Ultradwarf. He has over 25 years of golf course maintenance experience including the complete construction and grow-in of 2 golf courses, and the renovation of 2 golf courses' greens and bunkers. He serves on the Board of Directors for the South Texas Golf Course Superintendents Association and serves on the Advisory Board for the Houston Community College. He always looks forward to sharing knowledge with anyone on golf and golf course maintenance. |
